INTRODUCTION

RefugeVR is a digital “Meditation Temple” created  for Oculus Quest for individual meditation and mindfulness. This interactive game will take you through the four elements of nature: fire, earth, water and air in addition to optional experimental environments like a psychedelic space, a lush forest and traditional temple.

FEATURES OF REFUGEVR

This gaze-based Oculus Quest application is a seated experience using interactive and fully immersive, virtual reality technology with photo – real environments.
Users have the option to explore 7 different levels:

• Temple
• Desert
• Forest
• Canyon
• Ocean
• Space
• Experimental Psychedelics

The guided meditations will feature four general topics of meditation and mindfulness:

• Awakening and “re-birth”
• Pain and conflict
• Weightlessness and gratitude
• Space and out of body exploration

BASIC GAME FUNCTIONS

1. Put on your Oculus Quest headset. Place your controller down carefully. Start the Experience.
2. Choose “Guided Meditation” to start the linear story. Or Choose an environment to meditate in.
3. Gaze at the orbs to move forward in the story. Or do nothing and stay in the environment to meditate.
4. Once you have completed all levels, you will return to the lobby.

Our goal is to create immersive experiences that allow users to engage in meaningful content wherever they are, from the office to staying-at-home, for all ages.

For hard-working individuals who need a moment of solitude after their 9-5pm job - take a breather in RefugeVR.

For parents with children: instead of telling your child to take a “time out” or seating them in front of the television or video games, tell them to “take a moment of solitude” with RefugeVR.

We want to create an experience that helps users live a more joyful life, through introspection and mindfulness. We want to genuinely help players grow. Growth that helps us get a sense of fulfillment, freedom, relaxation, openness and well-being. In more practical terms, we want games to reduce stress beyond just the playtime, provide tools that benefit the players outside of the game and to increase their insight of themselves.
